There's also a Market Lane at Queen Vic Market or Seven Seeds in North Melbourne is pretty good. Check out beanhunter if you really want to get serious about Melbourne's coffee scene: http://www.beanhunter.com/australia/victoria/melbourne

Have you tried st Ali ? A South Melbourne favourite

Yeah for sure. For South Melbourne I prefer the small players; Freestyle Espresso and Giddiup have to be my picks. Giddiups sandwiches are great too! And for french food - Chez Dre! It's fantastic for brunch.

Try Padre Cofffee is you're based in South Melbourne, that is a must visit !

Market Lane Coffee is definitely the best brew south of the river, right next to Prahran market.
