Quinns Rocks, WA 6030

Quinns Rocks is an outer coastal suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located 38 kilometres north of Perth's central business district.
Being a beach side suburb it is quirky and loved by the locals. A number of primary and secondary schools are located here aswell as boarding suburbs.

We have been living in Old Quinn’s for the past 5 years and we absolutely love this place. Wake up every morning with the sounds of birds shirping and crash of waives ...so soothing...heaven!
Houses architectures are so different no house are the same. It makes the landscape so unique, I just love waking around appreciate this!
Neighbours are so friendly and supportive...feels like a small town...we are a part of the community...
There are a few schools private and public, Medical Centre is great, parks, dog beach, ocean with the net for safe swimming, surfing classes, cafes and restaurants.
Quinn’s is more for family life style enjoying day time. No much if you looking for nightlife entertainment. But there are a few pubs around you don’t need to travel too fair some options as Currambine, Joondalup, Hillary, Mullaloo 10 to 20 minutes away.
We never suffered any type of violence or aggression which seems to be a big point of discussion about Quinn’s in regards to community housing. Never bothered us in any aspect we all live in harmony poorer or richer.

Stay away....been here 12+ years.. Proposed rezone is a lie...property values and council concern non existent.. Spend your money elsewhere...not worth it

I work in real estate (not in the area) and chose to buy in Quinns Rocks over other suburbs because it is hands down the best value for money close to the coast. We have been in Quinns Beach Estate for two years now and it’s so exciting watching all of the new things being built & developed in the surrounding areas - beachside restaurants, cafes, suburban restaurants that are hidden gems, entertainment, shopping centres all within such a short distance. We have found the area to be absolutely wonderful and I wouldn’t live anywhere else. I have never lived in a suburb with such a community feel - people that live in Quinns seem to live here forever. Excited to see what the future holds :)

Quinn's Rock is Perth's hidden secret and I found it, wouldn't want be anywhere else, fantastic value for being so close to the beach, fantastic community, fantastic beach for swimming, fishing, dog beach, or just watching the fantastic sunsets, local schools (public and private and independent.) are close by and walking distance, local shops, and major shopping centre 5mins down the road, easy access for public transport bus or train, its all here at Quinn's Rock and affordable, with all this to offer I would think Quinn's Rock will sky rocket in value in the next boom time, my favourite is breakfast at the local restaurant on the foreshore with ocean views in the morning, and dinner at sunset.

I have lived in old Quinns Rocks for 4 years now, and have to say it is like no other beach side suburb in Perth. Lush greenery, hilly, interesting, stunning architectural houses that have been mastered into the undulating landscape of a suburb that has NOT been bulldozed flat like all of the new beach side suburbs found along the coast of Perth. In Quinns you truly are nestled in the sand dunes of one of Australia's beautiful beaches. I dare you to try and find another beach suburb where the houses are this close to the beach, and at these prices. Don't get me wrong, it's not all affordable but much more competitively priced than others and the population is diverse. I live only 250 metres from the beach costing around the high 500's. You could purchase a house further back for as little as $300,000's or as much as +2million closer to the beach. Blocks of land range from cottage size to 1000's of square metres. There is none of the ridiculously tiny blocks of land with shared walls or say Hi to your neighbour as you sit on the toilet sized blocks of land you will find in the newer developments. The beach is stunning, everything you would hope for from an Aussie beach. Swim, Surf, or laze around on the powder white sand and crystal clear waters, peaceful and not over crowded. Or even walk your furry friend at the Dog beach. Afterwards stroll over to one of the cafés. Portofinos is a lovely café and restaurant with ocean and park views. It is also a beautiful wedding venue. Or go to Salty's, a weathered typical beach shack style café. Overlooking the azure waters. Grab a fish burger, and you can walk over the road to the park and playground looking down to the ocean. And then there is Chippy's Café which borders onto the neighbouring suburb (bulldozed flat $$$ suburb) and have panoramic views of the ocean, a live band playing as you eat a casual meal with your cold pressed juice. Quinns Rocks is a investor's dream, new rezoning potentials and a 23 unit apartment complex starting to be built. There are LOTS of schools in the suburb, childcare and medical facilities. It is a 15 minute drive to Joondalup Hospital , Joondalup CBD, Universities, Colleges, and the newest and largest shopping centre in Western Australia Lakeside shopping centre. Mindarie marina is close by, and the train stations which link you to the city if you can tear yourself away from the beach for the grit of the city. The suburb is currently undergoing many improvements, demolitions of the old beach side holiday homes from 50+ years ago and many renovations. Gardens are mature, watch gum trees sway as the ocean breeze blows in and listen to kookaburra's, cockatoo's and swaying leaves. I dare you to try and find that in another beach side suburb in Perth! Quinns Rocks is beautiful, interesting and like no other. Families, couples and retirees can enjoy this beach side slice of heaven.

Old Quinns is nice, but the suburb is too far from everything!! Maybe better for retirees

Peacefull, stress free lifestyle. Away from the city rat race, but not too far. Friendly, community oriented locals, beautiful beaches and good local schools.

Old Quinns Rocks is a magical place to live. It has the most beautiful ocean broadwalk, beaches, SLSC. Lots of Schools in the area, shopping centres and even has a new Restaurant and Cafe called Portofino's and the Fish n Chippy at the Deli for Breakfast/Lunch and Dinner + takeaways. I've lived here for 12 years and LOVE it. The atmosphere, the local people, the community is wonderful and everybody says good'ay to each other. I know my neighbours, we have never been broken into or know of anybody that has had crimal damage done either. Its a laid back, easy to live place to be and terrific for families, older generation and professional people because the area fits everybody, with property ranging from $400K to$150,000,000K. There is a great Medical Centre here and better still, the medical receptionists get to know the locals and are very helpful and caring. Its only 35 minutes by train from Clarkson to Perth CBD or you can drive the 55 kilometres in the same time outside of rush hour traffic. It generally takes me about 40-45 mins in rush hour traffic, so I think considering what you have on your doorstep and the lifestyle Old Quinns offers, its excellent myself and definitely not too far away to travel to/from if you work in the City. A very under-rated ocean side suburb.

Quinns Rocks, Rocks!!! It is simply he funnest place to live in Perth. With the beach at your doorstep and groovy restaurants it is an excellent place to live. My son goes to Quinns Beach Primary, it is a fabulous school and coming from England I wasn't sure how he'd adjust but he's made a firm circle of friends. The Mum's are great to, it's a real close knit community. The house prices are very reasonable ranging from $300,000 to a couple of $100,000,000. Which lets you know that all property here can only go up! We paid around $520,000 for our house which has manicured gardens, is close to Marmion (but I love being able to walk to the shops) and the interior is spectacular. I definitely think it's worth paying that bit extra to get a beautiful home with all the mod cons. Plus I know the suburb is only going up in value which makes it a super investment. I'm not telling you to buy here but just have a think about it. I haven't been happier the sun is always shining and the community is great.

Quinns Rocks is the most undervalued beach side suburb in Perth. My wife and I have lived here for five years. The streets are supersafe we live in a cul-de-sac and the kids love to run out and play with the neighbours kids and I always feel that they are safe. We know all of our neighbors. Having the beach so close is a great source of entertainment plus being on the beach side means Quinns Rocks by Perth standards is a hidden treasure. I love it here, its not so hectic that you feel oerwhelmed with a 'city vibe' but it's close enough to the city that I can visit my family and friends down that way without hesitation.

Great suburb, we have fabulous amenities close by (great private and public schools within walking distance, supermarkets, hairdressers, doctors, pharmacy, choice of childcare facilities etc).
The only suggestion I have is look carefully, proper Old Quinns (oceanfront) and new Quinns really great, but there are parts where swanky meets skanky (as one of my clients put it).

Old Quinns is a different look to the new Quinns areas. It is a nice friendly place to live. Schools are very near for all denominations. Close to the beach is a bonus and new walkways make it a pleasant place to stroll in the evening. The beach is rarely packed up at the Northern end of Old Quinns Rocks. There is a dog beach handy too. Overall a nice place to live.

Nice clean place to bring up kids, but there is a difference between cheaper Quinns (rough) and homes down on the beachfront or north of Norfolk (nice).
A few hoons driving around but mainly on Marmion Ave and usually can only hear them in the distance friday/saturday nights.
Great choice of 4 private schools, or another 4 public ones.
