What is Salisbury like for a retired lady? Any cultural/lawn bowls/public transport/cafes?

There's a gorgeous cafe opposite one of the many parks, called, "Apples on Ainsworth". which is also opposite the Bowls Club... good value, tasty meals. On Toohey Road, there's Zaraffa's coffee, Sushi, Subway. Public transport is excellent, ie close to railway, good bus service that goes straight past the Mater and the P.A. Aldi and Woolies are around the corner. Salisbury has a great community feel, people are friendly. Lions/Rotary are active in the area, and there's a State School if you'd like to volunteer your time listening to children read, etc.

There are a lot of retirees in Salisbury and most of the people are friendly, there is also a bowls club on Ainsworth street along with a convenience store, bakery, cafe and fish and chip shop, Audi is also not far away. Public transport is pretty good with the station and several buses servicing a wide variety of areas such as moorooka (Woolworth's) and the city, several parks with footpaths

There are many older people living in Salisbury as the facilities here are great for retirees. The bowls club is opposite the shops on Ainsworth St, there are multiple cafes open for breakfast and lunch and there are multiple transport options here too.
