Reviews of Sheehy Street, Glebe

"Love the views and quiet inner city living"

Quiet leafy cul-de-sac with small apartment blocks built in 1975 and older terraces/houses on the other side. Excellent views of the city, Blackwattle Bay and Anzac Bridge from some of the apartments. Plenty of street parking and good access to waterfront parks.

moors

You get a good toxic whiff of pollution from the Anzac Bridge, too

"Quiet street close to city, food and shopping"

Sheehy St is a surprisingly quiet street close enough to the hub of Glebe but far enough away that traffic and noise is not a problem. With views out over the Sydney skyline and close to parks and walking tracks this is a great place to live.

On Saturdays Glebe is buzzing with people from all over Sydney visiting the Glebe Markets, but Sheehy is far enough away that this does not interfere with our peace and quiet. Great coffee and food is a plenty. People from all walks of life converge both to the Glebe Point Road strip, as well as the fishmarkets at Blackwattle Bay for a leisurely bite to eat. People watching is a must.

Sheehy St is close to many parks and for fitness junkies there are plenty of hills and stairs to get your heart rate going. The parks also feature free electric BBQ which often see families and friends enjoying a Sunday afternoon meal. Perfect vantage point for fireworks or just to people watch and get a nice view of the water.

Close enough to Universities, 4 schools in walking distance and daycare facilities too. Great local vet on Glebe Pt Rd. One bus ride away from the city. Buses can be full in the peakhour but run frequently.

Excellent coffee at the top of Forsyth St at The Spot. Great cheap breakfasts as well! For those interested in racing animals as a sport (not me!) there are the Wentworth Park greyhounds and Harold Park paceway within walking distance. Broadway shopping centre is nice and handy for pretty much all day to day shopping needs.
