According to Street Advisor, the current top suburbs in Brisbane are-
1. Upper Kedron
2. McDowall
3. Shailer Park

No One ranked Suburb according to Real Estate.com in December 2012 was Holland Park, it has the highest hit rate per property and is rated family friendly and safe.

I guess it would depend what you are looking for. This website has heaps of rankings for Brisbane suburbs in different categories - http://house.ksou.cn/suburbtop.php?sta=qld&cat=HomePrice&name=
and if you search Brisbane Suburb rankings in google there are a whole bunch more.
Personally, I live in Toowong and love the area and its surroundings.

Grew up in Indooroopilly (west of ISS) near Chapel Hill. Beautiful area. At the time we used to go to the library and pool at Toowong. Toowong now is a bustling suburb with a multistory shopping centre and railway line to get to the city fast.
