"Safe and convenient"

I have lived there number of years and still live not far from the suburb.
I find Springfield is one of the most safest and convenient area yet still affordable.
I never ever seen any form of crimes, like thieves, druggies nor violent.
I admitted there used to be some areas less desirable but this has been cleared out due to ownership changes over time.
I would recommend Springfield for anyone, especially for young growing families.
I left my front door wide open towards street by mistake during
X mas and New Year but I found my house was exactly same on my return 5 days later.
I felt completely safe in Springfield.
I would like live there again when I am able.

"These reviews are bull."

Springfield is the most overpriced dump of a suburb on the Central Coast, and anyone telling you differently is a bloody liar. Hand on my heart you'll paying a 900K mortgage to live next to drug dealers, thieves or drunks. It is not safe, not family friendly and paying anything over 300K for a house here Is a rort.

You sound like having a bad time there but for me for living locally over decade find hard to agree with your comment. I admitted there are some bad areas, used to be government houses but this nearly cleared up due to sell out over time.
I definitely would recommend as one of of the safest and convenient areas for young families.
NEVER EVER have seen issues; any form of crimes, like thieves, never druggies nor violent.
I felt most safe when I was living in Springfield.
My front door was left wide open facing to the street over X mas and new year by my mistake, but I found my house was exactly same as I left 5 days earlier.

You're obviously not living between Sherwood drive and Susan Street because it's full of thieves and dealers in that cluster of streets, that's the facts and trying to invalidate me because you got lucky is comical.

No I haven't lived those streets but my street was in lovely cul de sac off Clarence road. I felt utmostly safe there and was happy.
I am sorry that you felt bad where you were. Hope you have found a peaceful place now.

"Smack bang between East Gosford and Springfield"

Springfield has become a very in demand suburb. It's central location and proximity to the Central Coast Highway is great for commuters. It is also just a short drive to some of the region's best beaches. Traditionally a lower price point than it's neighbouring suburbs, this exciting suburb has pulled it's weight lately with sales over $1 million for residential homes.

"Family Friendly"

Springfield is a fantastic, family friendly suburb.
Ideal for first home buyers and young families.
Nestled in a quiet location out the back of Erina, just a few minutes drive to Erina Fair, where there is an abundance of shopping options, restaurants, cafs and a cinema, and about a five to ten minute drive to Terrigal for the beach.
Chertsey Primary School is the heart of the Springfield community.
It's the only mainstream school on the Central Coast with two small support classes for Deaf and hard of hearing children.
The students are taught sign language alongside their Deaf and hearing impaired school friends, and the spirit of kindness and acceptance there is like nothing I've ever seen anywhere else.
Springfield is surrounded by quality child care, public and private schooling options.
Rumbalara Reserve offers beautiful bush tracks and picnic spots for families.
A quiet, friendly community, ideally located centrally to everything the Central Coast has to offer, and affordable housing prices to boot.
Absolutely love it here.

  • Close to shops, beachs, transport

"great area to bring up children"

This house i noticed is in a dead end street but not far for a short walk to the new park area.
Close to Erina fair. Friendly local bus drivers at end of street.
This house is in the newer area and is a short walk to the school who specialise in deaf childrens schooling.
I love to stay in the area, it has some great walking trails as is near nature tracks/walks.
regards

"great place to live for anyone"

located approx 15-20 minutes from either the gosford or ourimbah f3 exits. springfield is a neatly tucked away suburb which hugs the hillside and lower parts between gosford (to its west) and the suburb of erina (to the east).

beautifully quiet in the 'heights' areas, backing onto the rumabalra reserve which stretches west to gosford and north to nth gosford. bell birds and native wild life, maybe the odd bush turkey. nice friendly laid back environment, great neighbours. close to erina fair shopping centre (less than 3 min drive) which is the largest on the coast and includes cinema, restaurants, and plenty of retail outlets.
15-20 min drive to beaches & terrigal. nightlife pretty quiet, but there are plenty of clubs nearby, along with the elanora pub (3 min drive ) or the woodport pub same time in other direction which also has a nightclub and attracts some touring bands. several public and high schools in the area, parks and sporting facilities.

"Lovely if your in the right area"

Springfield is a wonderful place to bring up a family - If your in the right area. It can be divided into two areas - the housing development and the newer area. The new area is safe and friendly, be aware though of the housing development area.

Hey Kim,

Useful comment. Where does the newer area end/housing development begin?

Thanks

haleyj

Housing area is only a few streets, and it's relatively quiet. Sherwood Dr and surrounding streets. I lived in a private rental property amongst the housing for three years before buying my home a few streets away and never had any problem. You get a few roughies wherever you go, and Springfield is no different.
