Not all (in fact, hardly any) of Stanley St can claim to be calm & peacefull but the end down at South Brisbane/Southbank surely can from a 'place to live perspective'. I have lived here for 15 years and watched the precinct be moulded into its current lifestyle dominated presence.

At home I can choose to close out the world and hear very little of the surrounding activity or open up to not only river traffic but birdsong and the soothing rustling leaves of the many trees that abound here. Then, of course, there is all of the FREE activity available from dancing in the streets to fireworks and live performances on the river stage or elsewhere in the Parklands. And, we mustn't forget our world class performance industry @ QPAC which is just a short stroll to a melting pot of culinary delights in either the CBD, West End or Southbank where award winning dining can be had just about on every corner.

If you live HERE, you can walk to EVERYTHING or get a ferry, a bus or a train unless, of course, you want to ride you push bike!

Southbank/South Brisbane, probably Australia's most liveable suburb in Australia's most liveable City - HIGHLY RECOMENDED! Jon M
