Interesting question. Swan View is a suburb that has grown outward over the last twenty or so years and has quite a varied housing style. In the older more established areas you will find typical 1960/1970 three or four bedroom brick and tile construction with separate rooms for each function. As you move into the younger areas you find slightly larger three and four bedroom homes of brick and tile construction often with an ensuite for the master bedroom and more usually an open plan layout. that about sums up the more suburban part of Swan View. As you move up the escarpment you will find two storey brick and tile houses, timber and iron houses on timber foundations, some houses predominately made with stone or a combination of all of these.the escarpment properties can vary greatly in age and are usually built to maximise the escarpments outstanding views. These homes often come with their own foundation problems which can be solved in many unique ways. Hope this stirs up your interest in a very interesting suburb to live in.
