The new Adara estate in Thomastown

Hi good to know someone else who has bought a land in this estate . We also have been waiting since 2016 and now got a new deed of contract which includes another year in the sunset clause.

has anyone heard from the developer regarding the settlement of this land?

looks like some major issues which we are not being told about.

Hi, Ive also purchased land in this estate, it seems like there are major issues theyre not telling us about. Ive been trying to contact the developers but it seems they are dodging our calls! This is really frustrating as weve been waiting over 3 years for this land!!

Dodging you mean they not answering your call or they do not answer your question directly?

The developer is not an the phone calls. The agency who sold the land emailed back saying that their job was to sell the M and and now its up to the developers. They gave the number's to call the developers and the solicitor but tried so many times and no one answers. Something is not right. Anyone? What to do?

We also got email from sales agent said they are no longer acting as sales agent and customer service agent. Did you receive that? This is not a good sign as they cannot get full commission until settlement... so they quit now means ...??? Also the not answering is also not a good sign...

We r in the same Boat!! I rang adara's lawyers at least 10 times in 2 days .. He avoided my calls until I emailed saying I was going to consumer affairs. Then got a response saying he doesn't need to speak to me as I have a conveyancer. However my conveyancer has emailed him at least 20 times and gets a 2 line response not addressing any of the questions we r asking. What to do?

How about call directly to developer or vendor? Any luck? No response or answering?

Have tried that.. I get directed to someone else and then that person says he or she is not whom I'm supposed to speak to.

My parents purchased land in Stage 1 in 2016. We sold our family home thinking we would be building in 2016. They have been renting for 3 years now and our lives are put on hold. Lets get a group together because this is disgraceful and the government should be stepping in here.

Hi All, My parents who are at retirement age, purchases a lot in Adara Estate. This whole debarckel has caused them so much stress and loss of income. They have had to rent for the last 4 years, waiting, waiting waiting. Has anyone considered going to A Current Affair. The deposit we have all placed has been held in a "interest bearing" account. SIM Developers will walk away with millions once they return our deposits. We should sue them for loss of income and request to be compensated using the interest he would have earned on our deposits. I'm willing to engage with A Current Affair - however I would like to know who would be willing to be interviewed? We should have a petition signed of all the people affected.

I got mail from lawyer said u could take your deposit back after having waited 4 years. Not good instead of giving update of land , they are interested to give deposits back and sell the land again in double price so that is why they are giving deposit back. They are doing business
