"Safe, beautiful easy living"

Beautiful suburb, safe green and well supplied. Lovely parks to chill or do sport. Great shops of all persuasions including specialist, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants etc. Diversity and neighburliness. There's even a Community Garden an Farmers Market. It has a great library, gyms and professional suites. Beautiful tendered gardens and houses and very accessible transport to rest of Sydney. Lovely place to spend time and when you've been away you look in awe again at the majestic trees and green spaces that wrap around this suburb.

"expensive houses, a bit racist but overall nice neighbourhood for families and raising chidlren"

Nice area, however some people there can be quite uneducated, backward thinking and rude. They are trying to look nice and welcoming however, a foreigner with different skin color or accent will never feel not at home here. Good for traditional Australian families, others not so much welcomed. Most people here don't earn much but think they are rich due to their net house worth. If you can avoid snooty locals (mostly on low income) somehow, it can be quite nice area to live in. If you're Asian or Indian, just don't bother.

Great for

  • Nice, clean, safe and quiet

Not great for

  • Some racist people with prejudices, expensive, far from transport

That's so pathetic to hear people are racist in Turumurra, their biggest trading partner is from Asia. Obvious you people have no brain.

I completely disagree!!! Turramurra is a beautiful place and ever better people. everyone is so warm and welcoming that it is unreal. I'm brown skinned and Indian by origin and our neighbours are mostly white skin Australians. The threw a welcome party for us when we moved in !!!!! I had never heard or experienced that before. You just happened to come across the wrong people.

"Great suburb for access to private schools and city"

Leafy, quiet and peaceful. Tree lined streets with manicured gardens and beautiful homes. Close to top North Shore private schools and good transport into CBD for working parents. Close to St.Ives Village for shopping.

"nice place to grow up"

I grew up here in the 70s and 80s- was very friendly, green quiet and safe. Train to the city is good but always very crowded at peak times coming from Hornsby to city. I think the demographic has changed from all young families now.
