Is Umina Beach and Woy Woy a gay & lesbian friendly place to live?

We are thinking of buying either at Umina Beach, Woy Woy or Blackwall and want to know if there are any gay & lesbian singles, couples or families living in these areas? Are the areas gay and lesbian friendly?

Hello Umina be h is queer central - we have only been here a short while but have trans, gay male and lesbian friends - all ex Sydney and tired of the rat wheel- life here is much more mixed with bi and straight, much healthier!

Queers are more the creative and earthy , self made types ( or trying to be) and very much based on community as in nature, keeping our beaches pet friendly, bush regen and ensuring hotel chains don't get a strong hold - this is paradise .

I can't speak for Umina or Woy Woy but I do know there is a vibrant gay and lesbian community on the Killcare Peninsula i.e. Killcare, Killcare Heights, Hardys Bay, Pretty Beach and Wagstaffe.
