We love Bauer Street. Historically, it has always been known as the best Street in Southport. It is very proximate to the Broadwater and CBD, plus schools, daycare etc. It has some top quality houses as well as units and retirement facilities. The best thing are the old trees and the leafy aspect of the Street. Although it is so close to town, it is very quiet and only a two minute stroll down to the riverside park. You don't need a car to live here. Why would you live anywhere else?

We love Southport. My husband can walk to work. The kids can walk to kindy and school and we can walk two minutes to a riverside park and swim with the dog. It's a great place to live with a real mix of people- different ages and cultures. The recent influx of Asian students has been a bonus. Now we can get a great meal in Nerang Street for $10!
