This historic gold mining township sits on the Wide Bay Highway approximately 40 klms inland from Gympie. The town has all the expected amenities, including two shops, butchers, P.O., Swimming Pool, School (to year 10), Golf course, two Garages and more.
Set in rolling cattle country, Kilkivan is on the National Trail and is home of the Kilkivan Great Horse Ride. Held annually this event attracts about 1,000 horse riders for a week end of fun and games, which culminates with a grand parade down the towns main street.
Kilkivan is a friendly town with plenty of activities and clubs for people of all ages. Tranquil and green with peace and quiet in bucket loads and not far from Gympie, Murgon, Maryborough or Kingaroy with Brisbane only 250klms away.
