Arnold Street

"One of Brisbane's best suburbs"

This is our eleventh year living in Arnold Street Holland Park. We've raised 2 children in a magnificent Queenslander - a style of house that still dominates this suburb. Few suburbs would surpass Holland Park for convenience. Public transport links are fantastic with easy access to the bus arterials of the Busway, Logan Road and Cavendish Road. If you want to drive, the freeway or Logan Road give easy access to the city.

Raising a family in Holland Park means that you are spoiled for choice when it comes to schools. There is a variety of public and private institutions. The school bus services, all using Translink, means that the kids can easily get buses to schools. Griffith University, QUT, UQ, Southbank and Mt Gravatt TAFE are within easy reach by public transport.

Holland Park is a friendly area. The staff in the newsagent, the butchers, the bakery etc know your name, or at least your face, so you are met with happy friendly service all the time. We are just about the same distance from Garden City, Carindale or the CBD stores.

If I had to identify the one thing I love about Holland Park - it would be the greenery. Turn down any street and you have a view of grand old jacarandas, poincianas, and mango trees. There are no Tuscan Villas baking in the sun with low rise clipped hedges here. Think greenery, flowers and shade.

Holland Park must be one of Brisbane's best suburbs and still at realistic prices.
