Fantastic street lived there several years, heaps of parking, really good people, no pubs or anything around so no yahoo's and any local teen-kids from Gardners Road end don't venture that far into Eastlakes so it is supremely safe and secure.

There is PLANE NOISE but it is infrequent and really seems to depend on which way wind is blowing and how they alternate the runways' - you can get some for a few days other times nothing at all for 2 weeks. Go figure.

What a fab street, you can't go wrong on Sparks street!

Having lived in eastern suburbs all our lives we were surprised by how happy we are in Eastlakes. I do remember the days when area immediately around the shopping centre were not too lovely at all.

However Eastlakes has really grown on us over the last 2 years and the sense of community, the peace and quiet of the area (yes there is however some infrequent plane noise depending on which runway they use that week) and the safety and security is all fantastic. Love the quick trip to the beaches, not just Maroubra but the hidden gems of Yarra bay etc that are less than 10 minutes by car. I would say the South and South East areas of Eastlakes would be best, anywhere near as possbile to the lakes golf course etc.

In only 2 years have seen ALOT of people buying into the area and things have improved greatly with people and investors becoming more houseproud and some new business/cafe's etc springing up already.

I would say, if your from the Eastern Suburbs, take the time to get to know eastlakes area and you'll agree there is'nt anywhere that is better value for a free standing house/block. Good luck/Happy bidding!
