"Newcastle's best kept secret"

This is a great place of convenience and affordability. 5 minutes to the lake. 5 minutes to the beach. 5 minutes to major shopping centres, medical, and commercial hubs such as Charlestown, Mt Hutton, and Belmont. 15 minutes to Newcastle University, 15 minutes to Newcastle city. Some high-set streets with nice views, fresh ocean breezes, large blocks of land. Yes this suburb had a stigma as a 1960's "houso" area - but location-wise this region ticks all the boxes. It's not quite there yet - but times are changing. There are knock-down-rebuilds, renovations everywhere to be seen, the demographic is changing and so are the old attitudes and stereotypes.

Great for

  • Cost of buying
  • Location
  • Neighbours
  • Football Team
  • Great Public School

Not great for

  • Graffiti around the public areas
  • Ex housing commission homes vacant waiting for refurbishments
  • Local Shops (except the post office)

Leviathan Drive

"Very well-kept street with friendly atmosphere"

Houses on the M1 side, very well-kept security townhouses on the south-side of the street with some corner shops handy, or a very short drive to Robina and Varsity Lakes. Handy access to the M1 and Robina railway station for commuting. Short drive to both universities. You get the benefit of being so close to the new upmarket areas around Robina but without the hefty price tag and more of a laid-back country feel.

Great for

  • Proximity to Robina shopping
  • Easy access to M1 and station
  • Tidy, quiet and friendly neighbourhood

Not great for

  • Slight noise from M1 on north side
