Charles Street

"Close to everything"

Good thing about this street is that it is metres from public transport, metres from supermarkets on Norton Street, close to 3 parks. It has to be one of the most convenient places. Pretty heritage houses too

"Very nice place"

It's a very nice place, considering it is surrounded by the tacky areas of Doonside and Marayong. Houses are large and pretty with maintained gardens. People are concerned about their area Ive noticed so they keep the place nice and tidy. I like it a lot. My only complaint is that is far from the CBD. There is a nice lake, however, with lots of green open space and it is very well designed

"Noisy place"

I live on Crystal Street. We have planes overhead, often 90 seconds apart and we can't watch TV without headphones without missing half of what is said. Lots of traffic, even in the quiet streets because many cars take back streets to avoid congested Parramatta Road. We moved here in 2011 and it wasn't that bad - planes were only frequent in wet weather. Now they seem to be all the time. Lots of people walking about too and you have a lot of street noise. Small yards but everyone seems to have 2-3 dogs so lots of additional noise too. It's not fun
On the positive side, houses are old and beautiful and public transport is among the best in Sydney
