Clowes Street

"COULD be better"

Clowes Street isn't anythign amazing, but it is a good walk to the MCG. Walking distance to Melbourne Girls' Grammar and Botanical Gardens. You will find pests such as rats and possums around and some of the houses aren't too glam.

The Avenue

"Just your general street."

Just your general street, nothing amazing- but acceptable. Good for rent if you are living here temporarily, but apart from that it lacks excitement. Basically, you can live here but don't expect anything apart from boredom.

Clendon Rd

"A perfect street for couples, singles and families alike."

Clendon Road is located in the trendy Toorak, so you will find that the appearance of Clendon Road and streets around it is extremely good. Clendon Road is home to a private girls' school. You will find easy access to Orrong, Malvern and Toorak Road. You will find that Clendon Road is a quiet street, but not so quiet that you will sleep in and miss work/school every day which is good. There is a tram stop on the corner of Clendon Road, and another one on the corner of Clendon and Toorak Road (route 72 + route 8). Toorak [train] Station is just a one-minute walk from Clendon Road. You will also find that Orrong Romanis Tennis Courts and the Prahran Netball centre are just a one-minute car drive away. It is a friendly street and you will find possibly no possums dead on the street. I would recommend it.

Irving Avenue

"Good for small families."

Irving Avenue is a street which is used as a shortcut for around three other streets- such as Vail St. Occasionally, a neighbour may wake you up with loud music, but this will not happen too often. The houses in Irving Avenue are generally small, and you may find that you will hear traffic from the next road. Unlike streets in Boroondara, Irving Avenue lacks plants and flowers in most flowers. You may find that some parts of Irving Avenue could be lonely and dangerous.

Irving Avenue is a five minute walk from the closest park- Lumley. You will find that Victoria Gardens, the park, could be a better yet further alternative.

In terms of neighbours, they are not extremely friendly and you may prefer to mind your own business.

I would not recommend this area to families with 2+ kids or families looking for a friendly, happy area to live in. I would recommend places like Camberwell, Glen Iris, Malvern, Toorak etc.

Iris Rd

"A perfect street for families, couples and singles. Close to everything."

Fresh air and clean surroundings. Lots of parks and playgrounds and close to tram, bus and train lines. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Close to no traffic at all and it is easy to get to sleep because it is fairly quiet. Close to sports facilities and schools. HOWEVER... you may find a possum on your roof at night and around twice a year there MAY be a dead one on your naturestrip. Excellent street overall.
