Edens Landing

"Edens Landing"

I have lived in the area for 19 years and it has changed over that time. Many of the middle class families have moved on and it has increasingly become a rental hub. I have had 30 neighbours in the time I've lived at the current property. People generally have become noiser and more disrepectful of their neighbours. Despite there being ample parks with good facilities and recreation grounds nearby, kids continue to play in the streets causing issues. The area has plenty of facilities but the area is best described as a blue collar worker area. I have stayed mainly because of access to public transport and it is the prettiest suburb around.

Daisy Hill

"Daisy Hill"

Daisy Hill is a mixed bag. It gets down to the street you are in. I lived just south of John Paul College. The music and functions from the Community Centre on the main road would disturb our sleep at night 3 blocks away. There is a low income/housing commission group of housing a few blocks away. Drunks would walk through our street throwing cans and making noise. The poor owner after we moved out got broken into. There is a newer development of houses to the right of Daisy Hill Rd that are alot more expensive and probably quieter, neighbour pending.

It was around Farne/Felice Crt there were problems. May have changed. It was 20 years ago. The community centre seems to have been taken over by St Edwards School. It is their office now.
