"Never Judge a Book by its Cover!"
Having moved from Sydney in 2005 to the Gold Coast for a lifestyle change we settled on the Isle of Capri. But then we sold & while looking for a new place my wife found a house in Nerang. When we first arrived in Queensland we did the usual drive around to investigate where to live & back then, we vowed we would never live in Nerang. But as we all know things change & more often than not for the better. In actual fact we were blown away not just by the property, but the street, its residents & everything in general about the area.
All the properties in this street are around 800m2 or bigger in land & most if not nearly all with swimming pools & large gardens. The neighbours in the street do keep to themselves but everyone knows each other, is friendly & greet each other with hello or wave whenever they pass by. There are many shopping centres around in Nerang (all the majors & a whole lot more more),& its only 15 -18 minutes to Surfers Paradise, the beach, a mulititude of internationally recognised golf courses, Robina town centre or Pacific Fair. Wet & Wild & the other fun parks are only 10 - 15 minutes away for the kids & Coolangatta airport just 30 minutes up the road. Nerang also has one of the cheapest cinemas around (see the same flicks as everyone else for half price') & the Nerang RSL only costs $5 to join for a year.
Everything here is right on your doorstep or only a quarter of an hours drive away yet you can feel a world away with the serenity of the place. There are enormous parklands to walk & a very large one designated just for dogs so even your pet is catered for. To be quite frank, it has to be the best street we have ever lived in & the neighbours & neighbourhood are simply fantastic. The other bonus with this street is that it is a cul-de-sac so only those that live here enter it & it can be a bit like a time warp where kids play on the street like we all used too many years ago. Great to be able to find a place where kids can still enjoy being kids just like when we were young, with their bikes, street cricket & the like. In our street, you never here the saying " Remember the good old days" because in our street it seems they never went. We could easily live here for many years to come.

"Simply Fantastic."
When we first came to the Gold Coast from Manly in Sydney we swore that Nerang was the last place we would ever move to but then a couple of years later to our surprise, we bought a house exactly there. How wrong we were! Our street is a brilliant street with very friendly neighbours, big blocks & a cul-de-sac where the kids still love to play on the street like we all did many years ago. Occasionally there is a street party put on by all the residents of the street, who bring their own food for everyone to enjoy & great times are had by all. One of the friendliest & most welcoming places we have ever lived our entire lives. Now we wouldn't move for quids.
