East Victoria Park

"High quality restaurants & very safe"

We used to go to restaurants in Northbridge but it is getting very dangerous ... so we switched to East Vic Park!!

East Vic Park has the same quality restaurants (or maybe even better and cheaper?) and have plenty of free parking!!

Most importantly, I cannot see any drunk people or druggies here!! The street is so much cleaner and family friendly too!!

Great for

  • Close to Victoria Park
  • Great restaurants
  • Free parking
  • Closeness to City
  • Closeness to Cafe Strip
  • Closeness to Curtin University
  • Large size lots still available
  • Quiet area with a lot of parks

"Extremely comfortable!"

I don't live here, but I live the street next to it. The street is next to shops, shopping centre and bus stops. It has very nice atmosphere and like a secret garden to the lively Victoria Park. Mostly town houses & big houses!!

  • Quiet & safe
  • Comfortable
  • Next to shops, bus stops and schools

King George Street

"Convenience, safe, green, quiet & affordable"

The street is on the hill of Vic Park and has the best view of the city!!

It has its own park (Hawthorne Park) and held regular open air cinema (free for the residents to enjoy)!!

The city council has blocked right turn to Berwick street, which reduced the traffic of the street and make the street quiet and safe.

Centro Vic Park shopping centre & restaurants are just at the corner. Victoria Park Primary is just few blocks away. No matter which part of King George street you live in, you will find yourself with easy access to bus stops for city & Curtin university.

- Residents of the Shopping Centre side can take 170,176,177,179,220,284 to City, Curtin & Carousel shopping centre
- Residents of the Berwick side can take 72, 75 to City, Curtin & Carousel shopping centre
- Residents in the middle can take 284 to Curtin & Belmont Forum shopping centre

Great for

  • Great city view
  • Next to shops, schools, parks & bus stops
  • Quiet & safe

Victoria Park

"Best suburb in Perth!!"

This suburb is amazing!

It is close to everything and has easy public transport access to city, top schools (Senior High - Mercedes, Ursula Fraser, Penrhos, Aquinas ; Primary - Victoria Park Primary) , universities, libraries, leisure & sport center, local parks, airport, recreational areas around Swan rivers, shopping centres and best restaurants in Perth!! Due to the proximity of the city, many people choose to cycle to work!!

In Vic Park, both Albany Hwy & Berwick Street are 1 lane each way only. Beside of Shepperton Rd (which I never use), there is no multi-lanes "highway" or "freeway", which makes the suburb very quiet and safe for children and pets.

The hilly part of Vic Park offers a great view of the city, very beautiful during sunset!!

It is surrounded by upper middle class suburbs like South Perth and Como, yet, it is still relatively affordable!! Although some part of Vic Park has some units/ flats, but they are well maintained and occupied mostly by people who works in the city.

My husband moved in for 8 years and never had any break-in or incidents. The suburb is very safe to walk around, even at night.

Great for

  • Close to top private schools & university
  • Great view of the Perth CBD
  • Very safe
  • Close to city
  • Lots of restaurants
  • Good public transport
  • Everything a short walk away
  • Spacious Parks and Ovals
