A great road as this is close to 3 train stations (Willison , Hartwell and Riversdale!), close to Riversdale trams.Right opposite the reserve/park/garden. Great cycling tracks. At the other end you have Toorak Road, great views of the Frog Hollow Reserve, Willison Gardens, Fordham gardens that line the entire Avenue. Accessible to Middle Camberwell shops on Riversdale, Camberwell Road, Burke Road and Toorak Road. Speeding traffic could be a problem sometimes but that is being taken care of by the council with the help of speed humps.

After living in rented accommodation for several years in Kew and Hawthorn East the time came for us to finally buy a house. We were keen on Kew and Hawthorn. However, we found that when we liked a house and school, we didn't like the street and lack of transport and lacks of shops nearby. In other words we couldn't find a house that ticked ALL our boxes. So we decided to look at Camberwell. Can't ever imagine how we overlooked this gem of a suburb! Seriously, I doubt any other suburb offers so much - fantastic houses, large blocks of land, transport - 3 rail stations for 1 suburb, trams, shops, parks, lots and lots of tree lined streets, one of the best state primary schools in Victoria, SAFE - close to the CBD - the list is endless. I have to say all this comes at a price and houses are very expensive. BUT, it offers the best value for money as no other suburb in my opinion comes a close second when you are fussy and have pages of boxes to tick!
