Nambour

"Love the Moonlight Markets"

Nambour has been undergoing some redevelopment to revitalise the township and cultivate a new image.

The Moonlight Markets held in the revamped town square, is a great family night out, with entertainment, stalls, and great food.

There are some pockets of nice neighbourhoods, and new housing estates. Nambour has some of the most affordable homes on the Sunshine Coast.

Bli Bli

"Lets go fishing"

Bli Bli is a lovely spot close to the river. It's a great spot for those who love to take the boat out and go for a fish. Has schools, shopping, and is the home of Bli Bli castle. Is close to beaches and is only a short drive to Maroochydore.

One does have to be mindful of the areas that have trouble with sandflies, but overall it's a beautiful spot, that has some affordable homes.

Ski N Skurf cable water ski Park is located in Bli Bli.

Hey Im interested in finding out what parts of Bli Bli would be more prone to sandlfies and mozzies like youve mentioned. Even just a street to base my search around. Thanks.

Marcoola

"Beautiful beaches"

Marcoola has some of the most beautiful beaches on the coast, and they are not as crowded as the ones at Moolooaba, and Coolum. It's a gorgeous spot. There are resorts all along David Low way. Resort living is a sweet lifestyle with morning and afternoon walks along the beach.

Marcoola is a great spot the only downside is that it's close to the airport, and you can often hear the planes landing and taking off, but none of the locals really mind.

There are some local shops, including The Candoo Cafe, they make some great pizza's, and Coolum Body Balance does great remedial massage therapy. There's a great Chinese restaurant there too.

Cobbs Road

"Beautiful views"

One of the first things you notice about Cobbs Road as you turn in off Nambour Connection Road is the big trees that Canopy over the road. Cobbs Road consists of mainly older homes. Some of the homes have some beautiful views of the surrounding area.

Plantation Rise Drive

"Beautiful spot"

Plantation Rise Drive bears the name of it's Estate. Plantation Rise is a very popular Woombye estate consisting of modern upmarket homes with gorgeous views. Taking a walk through this estate at dusk can be breathtaking as you watch the sun set.

The estate is popular with families being in walking distance to both the local public school and a popular Sunshine Coast private school.

Egret Avenue

"Great neighbourhood"

Egeret Avenue is located in Woombye Country Estate. It gets a bit more traffic than some of the other streets in the estate, but is a great street with some lovely homes. The people have great neighbourhood spirit, and it is part of a safe and quiet estate. Woombye Country Estate is a great place to raise a family, a lovely spot for retirees and great for couples just starting out.

Countryview Street

"Lovely homes"

Countryview Street has a lot of modern and brand new homes. There are some lovely homes throughout the street, however there is a section of street that runs close to the train line. No doubt a little too close for some people's liking, as there is no mistaking the sound of the train as it goes by. Having said that Countryview Street is a long street and there are quite a few homes that are further from the train lines.

There are some beautiful homes in the street, and if you don't mind the train passing by now and then it really is a lovely spot.

Rainbow Court

"Lovely spot. Amazing views!"

Rainbow Court has quite a few modern homes. The street is quiet at the top near the cul-de-sac. The homes at the top have some spectacular views of the surrounding country side. Rainbow Court is linked to Countryview Street which flows into Range brook Estate. There are pathways for enjoying lovely walks around the area.

Woombye

"Quiet Central Sunshine Coast Location"

Woombye is one of the Sunshine Coast's best kept secrets. It's close to everything due to it's central location, yet tucked quietly away from the hustle and bustle like that of the busier suburbs of Maroochydore and Buderim. Woombye is a popular suburb among young families, retirees and couples due to it's quiet, safe and friendly estates.

It's central location offers easy access to both the beautiful coastal areas and the spectacular hinterland. The town centre of Woombye has a quaint nostalgic feel to it, with a variety of shops, and local businesses. The local supermarket stocks organic and local produce.

There are plenty of schools close by, including Tafe (a quick trip into Nambour), and Uni is only a 15km trip to Sippy Downs. The Nambour Toastmasters Club meets at Nambour Christian College in Mckenzie road Woombye. There are a few local churches close by. Woombye has it's own child care centre, GP, Physio, vet and hair dressers. A lot of the popular and major attractions of the Sunshine Coast are only a short drive away.

Woombye's central location allows many options for the locals, with Noosa to the North and Caloundra to the South, the hinterland suburbs of Montville and Maleny to the West, and Coolum and Mooloolaba to the East there is always something to do and beautiful places to go.

A lot of the locals enjoy four wheel driving through the tracks in many of the state forests. (A permit is very easy to obtain) or along the beaches at North Shore and Rainbow beach. Other locals spend their weekends at their favourite beaches along the coast, or attend the many markets, attractions, events, and beautiful parks and picnic spots.

The Sunshine Coast is truly a beautiful place to live. The locals enjoy the relaxed lifestyle, and Woombye is at the heart of it all.

Palmway Close

"Beautiful place to live."

Palmway Close is a quiet street in a safe and friendly estate called Woombye Country. It appeals to people who enjoy some space and privacy, with it's sweeping country/rainforest views being enjoyed by every home in the street. It's the perfect place to kick back and relax and listen to the birds sing, or watch the children play. It can be hard to acquire a home in this street, because the people who live here never want to move.

With only minutes to the Highway it's location is handy for people who commute, there is also a local train station only minutes away in the centre of Woombye. A selection of private and public schools are close by. Nambour is approx 5 minutes north via Nambour Connection Road, and it's approx 15 minutes into The Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore, via Maroochydore Rd.

Palmway Close also has fast internet speed due to being close to the exchange.
