"Fantastic, friendly Felixstow"

Felixstow is a hidden gem in the Eastern suburbs. It has fantastic community facilities such as the Linear Park, Fogolar Furlan Italian Club, the public swimming pool and library. A lot of the older 1950's and 60's houses are being demolished and new courtyards are replacing them but there are still quite a few beautiful character homes. There are quite a few young families as well as retirees who are long term residents. Streets are generally quiet with established street trees and gardens are well kept. Public transport is great, the Payneham Road buses run often and the Klemzig Obahn station is within walking distance. The Marden and Glynde shopping centres are nearby. The local public primary school is East Marden. The only drawback is there is no public high school nearby, but it is not far to several private collages. If you work in the city it is close enough to ride your bike, otherwise it takes about 15 minutes in peak hour. I have lived in Felixstow for 4 years and have found it a safe, peaceful neighbourhood. It is good value, it is a bit cheaper than surrounding suburbs such as Payneham and Marden.
