Dunns Road

"Bit of a racetrack but very cool park!"

This is the main drag (literally) joining Craigie Road and Mornington Tyabb road. Unfortunately because it's long and straight the hoons think it's wonderful. New roundabouts and speed humps have helped this situation somewhat but you still hear them on a Saturday night...thankfully the local police know it's a hot spot so they often park a car behind the bushes!

The great thing about DUnns Road though is the parks. The newest one, between Craigie Road and Flora Road is great. There's really cool play equipment suitable for all ages, there's an undercover seating area and a very newly built toilet block. There is also a wonderful off-leash park for the dogs and some great equipment for the more intelligent breeds to show off their jumping skills. There's also a running track with some exercise stations that goes right the way around. As it's only relatively newly developed the trees are still small and there isn't much of a wind break.

At the other end of Dunns Road (near Mornington Tyabb) there is a civic centre, a beautiful rose garden looked after by volunteers, a gallery and another cool park. There is also a great skate park for the bigger kids. Watch out for the ducks and geese however - as soon as a car pulls up they come waddling over at a rapid rate expecting food!

Harrap Road

"Great place for young beach loving families"

Having moved to the Peninsula only 2 years ago from the city, we're thrilled with the move and the lifestyle change. Our street is a great one to live in. The neighbours are friendly and always willing to help. The houses are kept tidy and people care about their gardens. There are a few dogs around that enjoy 'saying hello' to each other, but nothing terribly annoying. Harrap Road can be a bit of a thoroughfare on weekends which is a shame, but it's not too bad. There is a park at one end which is great for young kids and also a dog park for the off-lead pooches. It's really a great place to live and I'd recommend it to anyone.
