Camellia Crescent

"Close To Facilities!"

I would pretty much recommend this street for anyone. You hear about Norlane on the news and in the paper just about everyday, because someone's done this or that, but if you choose the right areas of Norlane (such as this street) then you will be perfectly fine. Also with a secondary college, senior college and primary school within walking distance this would be an ideal location for a young family and with local shops (i.e. milk bar, grocery shop, fish and chip shop) it saves those long drives to the shopping centres. However if one needs to go shopping Corio Village is just a short drive away, not to mention Aldi not more than a five minute drive down the main road. So all in all this street offers value for money with adequate facilities available whatever you fancy.

Agree with your assessment Jonny.....and it is the convenience of being here that is overlooked i reckon by many. It's only a short trip into Geelong, if you need to go to Melbourne you're on the cusp of the highway heading to there, so it's a 50-55 minute drive with regular traffic, and all the shops you could want or need are within a few minutes drive.

I've seen the traffic along Pakington St/Shannon Ave and particularly in the new areas past Grovedale, and all of Norlane's major thoroughfares are dual carriageway roads that make getting around a breeze. And for all the reports one may see in the news, there's plenty of other places with 'better' postcodes that have crime as well. In any case, i think if you're the type who just does the right thing and avoids the wrong types, you're pretty much all clear, as i think some of the issues you read about are just troublemakers begetting trouble among themselves.

Noble Street

"A Good Quality Street!"

Great location, you can feel safe and it's just a short walk into town or across to Skilled Stadium. You can feel safe in your home, however don't expect piece and quiet as Noble street has high traffic use as well as inconsiderate noisy neighbours. Shopping facilities are aplenty and as long as you can put up with the noise it's a great location and I recommend it to anyone, maybe not so much for families with young kids, you might want to take them to a less noisy street and to a street with a little less traffic use.
