"Handy for everything!"
Like most streets in Northside Brisbane Winifred Street does get it's share of "rat-runners" but as so much is within easy reach this small issue can be forgiven. Being very close to both Eagle Junction State School and Clayfield College we do also get quite a few people parking outside our houses, particularly teachers parking 8 hours each weekday and parents parking each morning & afternoon. Occasionally these people can be a little unthinking about how/where they park which has led to the occasional kerbside altercation. Apart from that no problems really.

Being outside the CBD and in an average straight suburban street without any obvious hazards, the council are reluctant to make any parking provisions for residents. The most that could be done is the erection of "Local Traffic Only" signs but then it would be impossible to determine the parameters of "local traffic."
Is the council doing anything to improve the parking situation?
