Tara Drive

"The Envy of Mainlanders"

Tara Drive is situated within easy distance to both Hobart CBD and major shopping centres on the eastern shore including the new multi million dollar Harvey Norman complex at Cambridge Park and soon to be constructed DFO. Yes, all this in a semi-rural location with prestige homes and acreages. A number of properties have mesmerizing panorama over Frederick Henry Bay, Sloping Island to the Peninsula and Storm Bay. Those from Sydney would say it is similar to Dural or Denham Court except Tara Drive offers its residence a number of beaches within minutes, which are horse friendly, and not forgetting the Royal Tasmanian Golf course. Tara Drive’s environs include the Tangara horse trial and nearby Acton Park Equestrian Centre.

When night time falls and a full moon sends glimmers over the Bay, those both young and young at heart have the opportunity to witness an abundance of wildlife including wallabies, bandicoots, possums etc. Yes, only in unspoilt Tasmania could you find these animals in your own backyard. During our 8 year stay, we have found Tara Drive both friendly and safe with property owners taking great pride in their premises. This Drive in Acton Park is known for its scenery and if visiting should not be missed. During school term school buses from Corpus Christi Primary, Clarence High, and MacKillop Catholic College will delivery your children home to Tara Drive on request. If you are after that sea change without the worries of rising water levels due to climate change, this is the place to be. Affordable and with property prices that could not be match for their dollar value on the mainland. After relocating from the mainland it was a pleasure to drive to the CBD without bumper bumper traffic.

“Tara Drive, a touch of paradise and a slice of heaven.”
