Nickels Avenue is without one of the nicest streets in Park Holme. Minimal traffic, excellent street landscaping, immaculate gardens and beautifully maintained homes.....this would be a great street to call home!

Park Holme

"Rapid capital growth"

Bureau of statistics figures just released for the second quarter of 2010 indicate that Park Holme experienced excellent growth from the same time in 2009. The median price forsecond quarter of 2009 was $344,000 and has risen sharply to $436,500 for the second quarter of 2010. The number of sales in the second quarter of 2009 were 7 versus 20 in the quarter just past. I take this as further evidence of the evolution of Park Holme from a sleeping suburb in to a thriving, developing spot with all of the advantages of a central location providing access to both the city and the coast.

Weroona Avenue is at the northern end of Park Holme and really convenient to most forms of public transport to provide easy access to the city, Westfield Marion Shopping Centre, the bay, Morphettville Racecourse and the beautiful beaches at Somerton Park, Brighton and Glenelg.
Weroona Avenue has transformed rapidly from an ugly duckling to redeloped modern homes.

Nilpena Avenue

"Close to Foodland shops"

Nilpena Avenue has a real mix of the old and the new. Many of the larger allotments in the street have been subdivided to make way for courtyard style homes but several of the older solid homes remain. Really convenient location for grocery shopping and take away etc because there is a modern shopping complex at the eastern end on Marion Road. In the middle of Nilpena Avenue is a fantastic circular park with huge gum trees and a great kids playground.

Cowra Crescent

"Heart of Park Holme."

Cowra Crescent forms the 'heart' of Park Holme. It is a central park area with massive established gum trees and a well maintained childrens playground surrounded by Cowra Crescent and disected by Nilpena Avenue. Cowra Crescent has a few well maintained older homes all looking out to the beautiful park and several new courtyard homes. The development regulations in this part of Park Holme provide lots of opportunities for developers to subdivide allotments in to even smaller sizes and maximise the potential return.

Nunyah Avenue

"Typical Park Holme"

This is a typical example of the suburb of Park Holme - there is a huge amount of subdivision and redevelopment taking place in recent times. Older homes on large allotments seem to be making way for modern courtyard homes & townhouses on low maintenance smaller allotments. A changing look from the typical 60's residential street to a more modern street that makes maximum use of the available land in such a central location.
