Kitchener Avenue

"Quiet Street, can do with more noise!"

Grew up in Cabarita, have seen some redevelopement but that's mainly the big sites at the river end of Cabarita. Kitchener Ave has many older established houses with some needing reno/ detonation. Close to buses, IGA up at Mortlake saves the trip into Burwood or Central Concord, a great fresh fish shop at Mortlake 3 blocks away. Central Concord has become a new "Haberfield" with great Italian restuarants and other cuisines. If you are a Golf nut you are a walk away from Massey Park GC, and the presitigous Concord GC.

My Dad still has good success fishing at Cabarita. The River's water quality is always improving, since all heavy industry was moved away from it 10 - 15 years ago & commercial fishing stopped about 5 years ago.

Kitchener Ave is right in the middle of a sedate lifestyle.

BTW A Lot of Cabarita is listed as Concord - its a local snobby thing I guess, but living in "Cabarita" is far more desirable!

Wavell Avenue

"Great Neighbours, Park, Childcare, shops, buses - What more can you want!"

Wavell Ave is blessed with a lot of facilities. A nice little park on the corner of Robin Ave. A terrific pre-school in the middle of the street. Buses down Dunrossil & Pennant Hills Rd & Carlingford Court a 10 minute walk away.

Mainly owner-occupiers live here with only a couple of rentals. The western side of Wavell Ave provides nice district views.
