Anne Street is an extremely friendly street which has definitely improved over the years. Not only do people take pride in their property, but cosmetically, Anne Street has undergone a most impressive facelift during recent years.
The beach is very close within 5 minutes walking distance from most eastern parts of Warilla. Not only is there a clean, popular beach, but Lake Illawarra boasts itself with providing tourism and relaxation for local residents and visitors alike.
There are plenty of commercial facilities within 5 mins walk or drive to everybody (E.g. Warilla Grove Shopping Centre, George Street Shops which include chemist, newsagent, lots of food, bottle shop, bank etc.) which also provide much employment for the local community.
There is not much about Warilla which you wouldn't like.
There are schools nearby both Primary an Secondary, plus Childcare facilities. There is hardly any traffic in suburban areas of Warilla, but Sunday's in particular attract a few leisurely visitors passing through the main road who have gone down to Shellharbour or Kiama for the day.
All in all its can be said with confidence that East Warilla is one of the most friendly neighbourhoods in the Illawarra and located within 3km of Warilla beach and Lake Illawarra from any location on the map.
