We have lived in Barton Street for nearly 3 years and in the Sandgate area for nearly 9 years. Barton Street is lovely and quiet, I was concerend about the train noise when we first moved here but now I don't even notice it. We have raised both our young boys in Sandgate, and there is nowhere else in Brisbane that offers such a great lifestyle for young families. Everything is on our doorstep... the beautiful Moreton Bay, gorgeous playgrounds and parks, excellent schools, village style shops...all this right on the train line only 30 minutes from the CBD. Best of all, Sandgate still has a lovely little township community that is very unique. The people are friendly and our neighbours have always ended up becoming our good friends. We love it here!
