"Just Moved In after Transfer"

I have just moved to the street after being transfered from Qld....First place I have moved to where people welcomed us to the street when moving in....Very quiet place not much interaction with the n/bours on a daily basis.
Lake and beaches are not far away and the fishing ain't too bad

"Not a bad place"

Lived there a few years ago, so this is old news...

Whitfield

"Too many units and rental problems"

Whitfield or as it was nick named years ago "Lego Land" is full of units and town houses...great for affordability but not a great place to live...a bit like the block....very noisey with people living on top of each other....like living in a big city not like a tropical paradise.....

Hayward Street

"Very Quiet Considering Locality to Everything"

We purchased a house in the street after watching the location, going for walks in the afternoon around the area and seeing what it was like. I have lived in Cairns for 15 years and find it alot quieter than other areas I have lived in. Lived in Earliville and Whitfield and found them noisier.

Hayward street also has a very active Neighbour Hood Watch Program and we all look after each other.

Good location as there are not many rental properties in the street and in good walking distance to shooping, schools and public transport.

I also have an investment property in Kanimbla Heights, which has had a lot of break-ins recently...I was going to move up there but will stay put....I feel safe and secure where I am.
