Smiths Road

"A road of two halves"

Smiths Road has two completely different ends separated by a bridge over the D'aguiler Highway. The Kings Street end has normal small blocks of old township type houses some are run down and obviously rentals as well as new small estates. In the middle there is a park, Tullawong State School and St Pauls private. Over the bridge Smiths Road morphs into a rural idyll with well kept homes on 2+ acre blocks. Quiet with mainly families and although a world away from the other end it is a short walk to schools. It is also just a short drive to the shopping strips, malls, hospitals (public and private) and entertainment. There are decent restaurants (Indian, Thai and Australian) around other than the usual chains, but you have to know where to go. There is a Trader Dukes bar and bistro near the end of Smiths Road and RSL and sport club type pokie venues in the nearby CBD and Morayfield shopping strip. 15 minutes to the gorgeous Bribie Island (Queensland's only island connected by bridge), 30 minutes to Caloundra (Sunshine Coast), 50 minutes to Brisbane. Very affordable and all in a Queensland climate, its all pretty good but needs a decent non-pokies pub as does all of Australia.

Hi MrBob

I'm a Buiness owner yet to open our 24hr Fitness Centre (Anytime Fitness) in the Central Lakes Shopping Centre, we have researched the area for months now and did think very hard before deciding on Caboolture. We look forward to opening later this year alongside Woolworths, Coffee Club, Priceline, Brumbies Bakery, SuperNews, Dominos, Medical Centre etc.....
