"Original Andrews Farm a nice place to live"

Older part of Andrews farm is nice, spacious & has decent blocks. Most people are ok and look after their homes with some pride. Unfortunately some dont care and some couldnt give a damn about their animals. These people have ve no idea how to control their animals or look after them . Most nights all you hear are dogs non stop barking, all over the suburb! I agree with others here about the new Lakeside area of Andrews Farm. It is terrible, the streets are narrow, there is no where to park, the blocks are so small & the houses are so close together. There are no back yards, no trees and some houses actually touch roof's. Two storey apartments everywhere, it actually reminds me of England with its terrace houses & no yards! Everyone will hear your buisness because they R so close to each other. The terrace houses will become little ghetto's with everyone all in each others pockets. Untrained pets will become major problems & kids will have no where to play. The odd small park scattered throughout lakeside will hardly be enough for the thousands of homes. And What normal parent would allow their kids to go blocks away to play at a park nowadays?? The new super schools are already full & turning kids away & Kindys & child care centres have massive waiting lists. The developers have made a fortune turning decent Aussie home blocks into small villa blocks with no room for outside entertaining or private parking. Forget having a barby! No backyard & no where for your guests to park. Most blocks can only just fit one car on the driveway. What people dont know is, these developers actually pay our council additional money so they can cram more houses in and so they dont have to provide adequate open space! I would suggest you Take a good look at Lakeside before moving there- If you dont mind, houses everywhere all boxed in right next to one another, no space, narrow roads, hearing your neighbours conversations, one or two small grassed playgrounds and no where to park then go for it! The great Aussie dream of owning your own home with a backyard is now officially over! Good luck...
