Albion St

"One of Annandale's more affordable streets"

Running parallel to Parramatta Road, some of the houses on the northern side of the street back on to Whites Creek. As a result, the are potentially damp and could potentially be at risk of flooding. Nonetheless there are some attractive semis and terraces and this street may provide affordable options for those trying to break into the Annandale market.

"So convenient for Market Town Shops"

This street is in 2 parts and runs east-west between Elswick and Flood Streets. The part nearest to Elswick Street is very narrow making it difficult for cars to pass. The other part of the street opens out with a lovely park at the end. The street is within a stone's throw of the shops at Market Town.

"One of Enmore's finest streets"

Lovely tree lined street running south off Enmore Road. A mixture of 2 storey and single level terraces and semis. Conveniently positioned close to the shopping and amenities of both Enmore and Newtown.

"Convenient Leichhardt living"

Running parallel to Norton Street on the Western side, this street runs between Marion Street and Parramatta Road. There is a high proportion of tenants living on this street and there is always a fair amount of litter and rubbish strewn along the footpaths. Nonetheless, for convenience, proximity to Norton Street and the buses to the City, it doesn't get much better than this.

"Very similar street to Cary Street"

Check the reviews for Cary Street as this street is very similar. The only differences are that there is no children's park at the bottom and the street may be slightly narrower with slightly smaller houses. It is still a very good tree-lined street in a fabulous location.

"Attractive tree-lined street halfway between Norton Street and the shops at Market Place"

On a slight incline, this tree-lined street runs east-west. The rear yards of half of the street face north and this would be considered to be the better side of the street while the other side faces south. There are some delightful freestanding character -filled homes and cottages and a children's park at the bottom of the street. It is a very convenient and great place to live.

"Used to be known as Little Italy but that is changing"

I live here so it must be good! I love the Italian heritage and remnants of Italian eateries but I also love the growing cultural diversity of the suburb and lack of pretentiousness. The people are generally honest and down to earth and there is a strong sense of community. There are some good schools within the suburb which is very popular with young families. I have noticed a rising trend of people selling their units in the Eastern Suburbs and relocating here to bring up their children. Some streets can be considerably more noise affected by the flight path than others but it depends where you look.

As to the restaurants, my top 3 are Grappa (for special occasions), Portofino (for a good time with friends) and Morrettis (for the pizza). The best gelato is at Bar Italia, and as for the coffee, my favourite is Bar Sport.

Annandale

"Wide tree-lined streets, classic terraces and character homes"

Annandale is one of the most sought after areas of Sydney's Inner West. The area north of Booth Street is locally known as North Annandale and is the most desirable part of the suburb. Revolver Cafe on Annandale Street is the pick of the cafes. There are more cafes and shops on Booth Street although there is a better selection of shops in adjoining Leichhardt and at Broadway.
