Balga

"So Central, So Friendly"

I am happy to announce that all the misguided comments regarding this area are false. Yes every area has not so nice pockets but as a whole its a great area. I still get the odd comment when I tell people I just brought a house here but I will have the last laugh as its central - 15mins airport, 15 mins beach, 15 mins CBD. Great shops close by, private and public schools, huge blocks, some beautiful old houses are still available and mine was one... so I have high ceilings beautiful jarrah floorboards, huge yard... list can go on.

So to all those haters... HA HA, I am in a great street, with great neighbours, got the house for a great price, can keep my house and still build out the back if needed and will be ahead in years to come when the silly stigma goes.

Great for

  • Quite Streets
  • Safe and secure
  • Neighbours look out for one another
  • Great Proximity to city and Freeways
  • A couple of terrific public parks
  • Friendly area to live
  • Has a Great Discount Booze Store
  • Good Gyms & swimming pool & beaches close by

Not great for

  • Stigma attached to the name of the suburb

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Singles
  • Families with kids
  • Retirees
  • LGBT+
  • Students
  • Beach Lovers

I am a local of balga and have lived in and the neighbouring suburbs most of my life and I'm not sure I entirely agree... You must be in a good street or pocket. U too have lived in a good pocket once but have to say I'm no longer impressed. The plaza is now feral, I have hoons on my street and I am by no means on a main drag. Apart from the drunks screaming up and down the street, at random hrs waking my young kids (and no I'm not in homeswest), the odd drug pusher or crazy ladies on the constant bum for something or rumaging around my carport, going to the local park by the pools which is awesome except when a carload of adults pull up to get off their face or get stuck into the drink at 3 in the afternoon when kids are coming to play there.. frankly balga is worse than it ever was in the so called crap pockets and everything else is way overpriced, I would pay 400 + to live in balga talk about overpriced... Can't wait to move from this pit and take my kids back to where normal people live who don't talk like the gutter..

Sorry correction: I meant I too have lived in good pockets...

I think that it's amazing how fast the A1 locksmith Perth can get to your house.

Ksmic i am so sad you've had a bad experience. It seems a good area, but i am aware sometimes some bad things happen. I hope you are safe and things improve for you! All the best
