"Noisy is an understatement"
I live in the Pease st end of Macilwraith St Manoora and I would like to make sure that anyone thinking of moving there would actually not bother. I have never lived anywhere before where almost every night at all hours there is a constant stream of loud, swearing, abusive pedestrian traffic that cut through the park to go to Murray st. I get woken every night by rude self centred people with no respect for the rights of others to sleep and feel safe in their own houses. I am looking to move because I classify this place as a completely unlivable place to be. There seems to be no police presence except when you have to call them which happens to be often.
@herebedragons69 - Given that you live on Cadaga street, I can't understand why you think you have the right to disagree with Olster. I also live on the Pease st end of Macilwraith St and agree 100% with Olster. There are constantly people yelling and screaming at all hours of the night walking (because they are either drunk, or can't afford a car) up and down the street. I have had things stolen from my yard. My car has been vandalised, my mail has been stolen (I have actually caught people red handed stealing my mail) So YES, I agree with Olster, and am quite happy to also focus my attention on a group and feel quite justified in JUDGING those rude and self centered people.
AGREE 100% In fact all of Manoora and Mooroolbool is ruled by this drug pedling, petrol sniffy alcoholics
Given that you live near Pease St and Reservoir Rd I can understand that you would have traffic! Those are major transport lanes for all of Cairns. If you place your attention in a certain place then you are bound to find evidence for your beliefs. There are many good things about Manoora that I'm sure you can find if you stop focusing on a group that you have judged: "rude and self centered".
We have lived in Manoora for 5 years and never had a problem. Ours neighbors are friendly, hard working. family oriented people that are always ready to lend a hand.
