Ross Street

"Port Melbourne West (towards Docklands) of the light rail is very undervalued"

Why pay twice the price for property in other inner city localities. This area is so close to so much amenity and so convenient it is unbelievable that property here can sell for half the price of suburbs further from the city. Living here has made me realize the area is a hidden gem.

Ross street itself has new trees growing, many houses being renovated, is one block from parks, the 109 tram, close to the beach and walking distance to the city, crown and the new south wharf development.

Further potential remains. The influx of families to Port Melbourne proves this area is value for money.

We are waiting for a new school to service Docklands, Southbank and Port Melbourne to be built in the area, more transport and development of the land between Docklands and Port Melbourne. This area has potential.

Some users of this forum will as with all inner city areas try to write negative comments in the belief it will devalue houses and they will be able to get a bargain. The area is safe, has reasonable to good amenity and great future prospects, talk to any local who owns a home and they will give a very positive review. Some residents in my street have been in the same place for over 20 years. Why move?
