St Albans

"Rough, noisy and lots of hoons"

Don't have many good things to say about Kings Park from what I've heard and seen except it has great public transport! Lots of noisy cars, rude people (lack basic manners), busy taylors road, not great neighbours (blocking drive ways etc) not many resturants, burnouts regulary. When I've been in the area to visit my friend haven't enjoyed my experience at all.

Kings Park may be noisy, have rude people, bad neighbours, lack restaurants etc. BUT St Albans it not like this. I have lived in St Albans for many years and have found the multicultural mix of residents colourful and friendly. I have wonderful neighbours and we all look out for each other, have exchanged numbers, say hello, chit chat, take each others bins in etc. There are numerous Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants in the area, pizza places, kebab etc. It would be great to have other cultures represented in the shopping strip for some variety but having said this the suburb has everything you need. I have found it a great place to live.

Unicorn Way

"Can be noisy with hoons and their hotted up cars even on weeknights!"

I have friends who have lived in Kings Park. Kings Park is a very noisy area and you tend to find a lot of hoons with hotted up cars that have nothing better to do on week nights (not just weekends) then drive around and annoay people (doing burn outs, reving up their cars, loud exhausts) trying to sleep. Unicorn way is a great street during the day but night time is a different story. If you have a family I would think twice about the area as a lot of people tend to speed more so (courts are abit better to live in Kings Park) .

If you are single or a couple and can sleep through anything then go for it! Also forgot to mention how busy taylors road can be and how it can take about 5mins to get to the large round about near Mc Donalds. Plus if you have a pet dog there are less footpaths (will have to walk on the road most of the time) and not many parks. You are close to watergardens and other shops which is a good thing!
