Shoubra Dr

"Great place to live"

Shoubra Drive is a quiet pocket close to Highton Village, well-protected from the prevailing winds. The pocket was developed on the grounds of Shoubra, the old Victorian mansion that is still seated at the centre of the circle formed by Shoubra Drive, Remony Avenue and Keram Crescent. The street was developed in the 1980s when Highton was waking up to good and innovative architecture. The houses, some of which were only built recently, are therefore well-designed. Those towards the eastern end of Shoubra Drive have a great view over Highton and Geelong city. A number of houses on the northern side overlook the valley and the park area between Shoubra Drive and Vanessa Avenue. The park is a great place for kids to play. Highton village, on the other hand, has a lot to offer for the whole family. Shoubra Drive is well-served by public transport and a number of schools, including Christian College, is in easy walking distance.
