Mount Street

"STOP the over developments!"

Mount Street in Glen Waverley, is parallel to Springvale Rd. A short walk to any amenity one could ask for: from shops to schools, cinemas to restaurants and public transport to parks.

Being close to these amenities has one major drawback though. There are a lot of 'all day' car parkers in our street. This tends to clog up the street and sometimes one can not back out of their driveway.

Another negative slant on the street is the sudden infiltration of multi-unit developments. Stop bulldozing the little post-war brick veneer & weather-board houses, and retain the original street-scape. Do we all have to live boxed in like an 18th century East London slum?

Other than that, the street is quiet,(ie: apart from the occasional siren, you can't really notice the Springvale Rd traffic noise,) lovely neighbours, kids playing cricket on the front lawns, and a neighbourhood house at Number 6.

Being a stone's throw to Glen Waverley Secondary College, makes this street a little too pricey, which is good for those owners who are living on this gold mine. But for poor me who would dearly love to purchase the property I am renting at the moment, looks like Box Street in Doveton is the place for this first home buyer!!!!

I'd be careful about Box St in Doveton - see http://www.streetadvisor.com.au/victoria/doveton/box_street/overview - it has a poor review!
