Murray Bridge has plenty of employment opportunities for semi-skilled, trades and professionals alike. The commercial centre of the town is currently being rebuilt with a massive Woolworths complex under construction. There is a well equipped hospital and the biggest private medical practice in the southern hemisphere, Bridge Clinic, with 18 GPs and up to 30 visiting specialists. Bluebush Court is on the southern side of the city, and is made up of around 25 allotments of 2 to 6 hectares each. The makeup of the subdivision is a mixture of young families, professionals and retired farmers who seem to get along very well. The city has aspirations of growth in the next 20 years and this poses some threats to the area, with two of the allotments at the eastern end of the subdivision being targetted for the building of a retirement village with green credentials.
