Benjamin Street

"Heritage listed and only 11kms from the city"

I never thought I would live in Sunshine. But we bought a 4 bedroom heritage listed double-fronted Victorian home for $380,000 about 2 yrs ago.
We have put original windows and doors back in and have got it looking as it would when built.
The council are putting new road surfaces and have allocated $2,000,000 for parks and reserves.
Within 5 mins walk is a gym, cricket club, footy club, tennis courts and boxing club..all in a well maintained reserve.
10 mins walk to the station (which is being rebuilt this year - hopefully getting rid of the yobs from OTHER suburbs who catch the bus to Sunshine station and cause trouble waiting for a train) - and in the new station will be a Transit Police Station!
Move 2 mins walk from the station and there are no problems at all - its very, very, quiet.
A lot of tenants have moved out as rents have risen substantially and young Australian families are buying and moving in instead.
Result? Our house has just been valued at $560,000...thats a $200,000 jump in 2 years and theres plenty more to come I would think. Local agents think $700,000 - $800,000 will be commonplace in this small area of houses in another 2 years.
Young families should buy whilst they can!
