After spending a very long time in this area, some 25 years, The area would have to be one of the most convenient to everything area anyone could find in Sydney. Only 40 min bus ride to the City and about 10 - 15 mins to Bondi Junction where you will find practically ever bit of shopping you can imagine.
The beach is only a 10 - 15 min walk away and even the local shops have a good range of takeaway for those night of no home cooking. Schools are everywhere in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney and plenty of parks. Seriously, you don't even need a car when you think about it!
Only problem with our street was the through traffic that would get a little noisy and the general expense in purchasing property. Most houses (at the time of this review) are well in to the 6 - 7 digits

Everything is pretty good except occasionally we get hoons driving fast up the street even with speed bumps on the road!, but overall I would say a good place to live & convenient to major shopping centres.
