Gavin Way

"If you want a nice peaceful area to raise your family it is not this area."

Mostly working class people trying to improve themselves with up upper middle class housing. Dead end sub-division with approx 70 houses that all enter off Gavin Way and many of the residents and visitors have no respect for road rules or common courtesy. ‘Mature’ (over 50 years) drivers as well as young adults drive at excessive & illegal speeds down Gavin Way. There are signs requesting drivers to drive slowly & quietly as there is wildlife in the area and many drivers have no respect for anyone or anything else. The block size is 2000 sq mts or greater in a area that use to have an abundance of wildlife that has been reduce to only a small amount over the last 20 years. I know of several families that have lived at the end of the area that have sold & moved to a 'more densely populated area' & smaller blocks because of the ‘hoon’ element in the area.

I have lived in the area for the past fifteen years. I have no clue as to what the above comment relates to or where they got their information from. This is a lovely street ( and the streets off Gavin Way) to live in. The neighbours are lovely and friendly. There are no "hoons" living here - perhaps someone had a bad experience with visitors? There is still PLENTY of wildlife - we have wallabies on our front lawn every single night! As for have no respect for anyone or anything - you have that totally wrong. Everyone that lives in this neighbourhood have respect for each other and their privacy, right to live in a peaceful neighbourhood and for their property. There's never been a problem here - I think you seriously have your wires crossed!

And yes, mostly hard working middle class people live here - and a couple of retirees - so what? As for people selling and moving to smaller blocks because of the "hoon" element, it might surprise you to know that most people have been there as long as I have and even longer.......not too many of us want to leave this piece of paradise!

This comment is completely inaccurate - Gavin way has no hoons and is an extremely quiet, family friendly street (as are the surrounding streets.
