Lady Nelson is in the Clifton area of Port Macquarie. Located on one side of the town's race course, yet we never notice when the races are on. The street is a great location for all the events that are held there, easy access just walk across the reserve for us locals no worries about car parking or getting home. Lady Nelson is close to the local shops (just down the adjacent street a bit), also less than 5mins from the regional shopping centre called Settlement City and less than 10 mins from town centre and Port Central. Depending on which part of Lady Nelson you choose you will have a feeling of being in the countryside as you look over the reserves/race course and the hills in the distance. Lady Nelson is not a through road so at the n/west end you are right next door to bush and a couple of minutes from the racing stables. It is great to see those hard working jockies in the early morning training sessions. Restaurants are mainly in Eat Street in town (Clarence Street), and near Settlement Point. child care centre down the road (really good) and many schools within 10 mins drive. hospital also less than 10 mins drive. beaches just over 10 mins (depending on which beach in Port you wish to tan on - there are about 9) and the river/point around 5 mins. public transport is good with 2 bus stops in the street, and cheap fare in local taxis to Sett City or town.
