So quiet here - not a 'through street' - you only really drive down Charles Street if you live here, so super-quiet, and a lot of bird-life, especially on the reserve side of the Street. Everyone is friendly. A relaxing place to be :)

As a Sydney-raised, but no longer a Sydney lover, our recent move to Newcastle has been nothing short of brilliant. We've been so warmly welcomed into the neighhbourhood, and are loving the ease of life here. We have a young child and have heard the local school is excellent, I have work in town, and can leave home at 8.45am and be home in time to have a few hours together with my family, and ehte occasional lunch at home with them as well. We are absolutely loving it! The beaches are quiet and clean and there are some excellent local shops. We think we have landed in the perfect neighbourhood.
