Fenwick Street

"Yes, it's a gateway to Clifton Hill, but that's part of the problem"

I'm a Clifton Hill resident, but I don't live on Fenwick Street and wouldn't. Non-resident commuters (drivers) seem to frequently use it as a cut-through to get onto Heidelberg Road from Abbotsford (coming up via Trenerry Crescent) and often drive way too fast - you can see that they're eager to get home after a day's work but this can be at the expense of them speeding through the roundabout at Spensley St or not giving way to a pedestrian waiting to cross near the milk bar. Fenwick Street is attractive, but if you wanted to live there you'd need to be aware that at certain parts of the day there will be a fair bit of traffic from commuters who perhaps don't care about Clifton Hill other than it being a convenient cut-through to their final destination. I also wouldn't want to have a young family and be living on Fenwick Street due to the traffic and speeding I've described.
