Tuncurry

"Laid back coastal town"

Great relaxed coastal town, hard to find work but a growing area which now has some major supermarkets moving in across the bridge at Forster. I have brought properties here as a future investment. Still a fairly undeveloped area and one of the most overlooked coastal town on the NSW coast.

Beach Street

"Beach Street, the name says it all"

Best location in Tuncurry (as well as the rest of the N.S.W. coast). If you are wanting a feed and cheap drinks the bowls club, sports club and pub all within a couple of minutes walk.
Plenty for the fitness orientated person, Bowling, tennis courts and sports ground down one end of the street and netted rock pool the other (also a golf club a short drive away). Walk across the crown land to the quite sandy beach which stretches for kms, fish, walk, swim or surf in the pristine pacific ocean. Or simply lay back on the sand and spot the dolphins and whales.
Fisherman's Co op is also a short stroll around the corner from beach street where the public can buy fresh seafood just loaded off the trawlers.
Development in the pipe line also for this area. Sports ground and club to be renovated as well as the rock pool and the hotel on the main drag (abit of a shame as it is a great old 1950s style pub which has a great laid back coast atmosphere). Also a Marina to be built at the front of beach street which should see the value of property head north in this street. Like all development though it may not go ahead but where there is smoke there will be fire.
Super market in the main street which also a very short stroll. No parking problems.

Great for

  • Stroll to the beach, bowls club, sports club, pub and main street.
  • Development plans in the pipework for marina and foreshore area
  • Still some affordable places in beach st

Not great for

  • Needs more development
  • Prices are starting to edge up
